Star-studded parties and the red carpet at this year’s Oscars swarmed with advocates and opponents of cosmetic medicine, just like last year. This slide show presents 23 stars at Academy Award events who say “yes” to plastic surgery and 12 who say “no.”
Among them:
JUST SAY NO
Colin Firth. He doesn’t like what plastic surgery does to people.
Annette Bening. Her wrinkles say, “No Botox.”
Diane von Furstenberg. “If I ever had any desire to have plastic surgery, after this week, I know for sure, I would not want it,” she says.
Helen Mirren. She’s never been under the knife, she says.
Jennifer Hudson. “Why should I change?”
Juliette Lewis. “People are carving their skin and putting plastic or whatever into their chest, to be more desirable.” Not a good idea, she says.
JUST DO IT
Sandra Bullock. She may have eased off the Botox injections a bit.
Cameron Diaz. Her nose was straightened during a repair operation.
Cheryl Hines. “”If it makes you happy, do it,” she says.
Ellen Barkin. She likes fillers and laser skin care, but forget about the Botox and the surgeon’s knife.
Eva Mendes. Eventually, she says.
Hayden Panettiere. Breast implants.
Kate Beckinsale. She denies getting breast implants, but cosmetic dentistry?
Gwyneth Paltrow. Nose job?
Katie Price. Big, big, big.
